Hot chocolates and a tuna sandwich Two hot chocolates and a tuna sandwich. Set there between two people bewitched. They ogled and stared at each others eyes, And whispered across invisible vies. Each and their outgo walked on a rainbow. A scenario structured of shadow. They could not believe or savor the true, This meetings impromptu out of the blue. Hands crept across the table in reach. Souls stretching out in lovers beseech. Illusions barrier still held the stream, Of the real and the end of each dream. Their fingers did touch to nova the night. And feelings did flare the brightest of bright. The sound was a sigh like a babies new cry. And that was the hold, of impossible lie. Their rainbow dissolved into distant adore, As each sank back into dreams once more. |

Sy, I never knew that a tuna sandwich could be so romantic, but I guess anything's possible. But I do know I enjoy all your poems Liz |

Sy, I really love the idea of this--it is romantically beauiful...and distant adore I understand. |

Though I loved your poem, I have to say, I don't like tuna..could it be a grilled cheese instead? |

And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind... The wind and your love to carry me. vertical horizon |

Sy: I've tried many different combinations in my time but tuna stuffed with chocolate is a new one..LOL but if it has that effect, I'm game.. HUGS ps: Actually...if you added some mushrooms stuffed with stilton, some crisp lettuce and some toast lightly fried in garlic and fresh cream served with a little dill...it's growing on me...oh my! Ah, sigh - isn't it a shame when you open your eyes and discover you've been dreaming - with those loving eyes still in your brain, and tuna sandwich haunting your taste buds! Oh, man! And of course, if you were awake, it's even worse at the end. Yes, romantic and sweet. Good title, too! |
