I met a pig downtown today.
Or was that just a dream?
He thrust his snout into my face
And said, "I am not what I seem.

You see a well-groomed gentleman
With manners so supreme."
What I saw was a talking pig,
Or was that just a dream?

He raised a muddy foot aloft
And tapped it twice against my chest
And said, "Don't be fooled because
My clothes and manners are the best.

Here's a little secret," he said,
And winked his piggy eye.
"I may look like a royal prince,
But my birthplace is a sty.

Promise you won't tell" he begged.
"I enjoy my human guise."
Well, all I saw when I looked at him
Were those beady piggy eyes.

Oh you can reinvent yourself,
And choose your part to play.
But the piggy soul you started with
May at times get in the way.

Dom,
Am I mistaken , or does this have nothing to do with food ? Well done , you have a rare talent . Sorry , I couldn't resist .

Clever darling poem. I enjoyed.
Just let me get my sheep skin off so
you can be sure to see the wolf --)
