Melt away, the saddness of the dawn with hilltops swept, in supple grace of sunlight's smile. bring springtime-summer warmth to this withered, wilted soul. breeze away the frozen melancholy which grips tightly in the crevices of me. dispel the pall of winter-gone, ~a nightmare never-ending~ and free the chilling ache of icy thoughts in d i ss a ray Balm the turbulent turmoil chattering in my mind, ~the churning of the past~ shine on my heart allowing me the strength to free myself from the chains which bind me in a season of my pain. . "With every turn Comes a new frame of mind If I could frame my mind, Where would it hang?" -Eve6- [This message has been edited by Christopher (edited 04-13-2000).] |

I love the way you do this! The words, while sad and full of pain, are beautiful...such a joy to read your work.... |

Now this is impeccable work. I am in awe in the reading of this. A true work of art. Know that I share your season of pain, my friend. "~a nightmare never-ending~" Indeed. Michael |

The way you write your pain my friend. It is stunning. I too relate to the season and this speaks to me. Another excellent piece! ((Hug)) |

This flowed so well I had to read it twice ... Many great moments here -- a few of my favs: the frozen melancholy which grips tightly in the crevices of me. (though I wouldn't have used "grips, personally) and Balm the turbulent turmoil chattering in my mind, ~the churning of the past~ Great stuff here, Chris ... but to be honest, I am praying that your cleansing ends soon and that your pen gets the chance to sing happier tunes ... Hugs ... --Me Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made, Those are pearls that were his eyes; Nothing of him that doth fade But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange... --William Shakespeare, from The Tempest |

"Balm the turbulent turmoil chattering in my mind" Balm, indeed...what a wonderfully descriptive word. Paints a painful and clear picture. Seasons come and go, m'friend...this too shall pass. Hugs May I never be too busy to help another's load, Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed. --Author Unknown |

"...And there's this burning, like there's always been, I've never been so alone and I've never been so alive..." (name that tune!!??) With the dawning of spring, I hope your soul breaks free. Your poems are always works of art, Christopher~ Marie~ |

Pain truly is a season, and I hadn't thought of it in that way. If seasons have purposes, and they do, then perhaps through your poem I can find some purpose for my own pain, and you can for yours. Kathleen |

Christopher~ Sweetheart ... this is captivating. You write beautiful melancholy ... but I hope it begins to clear for you soon. Love you. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
