How comforting it is to rise And face the coming day And know that for the things I do Someone else will have to pay. If I build a public building Upon a muddy hill And it slides into the valley, Someone else will pay the bill. And if I say, "We must send troops, Or Ruritania will be lost," We'll pack them up and send them off And never mind the cost. Oh a politician's life Is sometimes hard, but what the heck, Taxpayers will always be here, When the time comes for the check. |
