All about you

You chased away
   My dreams
With your priceless
  Fairy tales

You cheated me
  Of happiness
With adulterous ways
  You never denied

You locked my hopes
Inside an iron box
Threw the key into
"Gone-for-good"
Forever to be lost

But,
Recently you see,
I’ve learned a precious
  Bit of knowing:

Despite your
     Protestations,
     Your actions,
     And your words…

It’s never really been,
   All about you.

Cassanova (Jason):

This piece is raw with emotion -- with loss and bitterness, pain and a scathing sense of betrayal -- and you conveyed all of these powerfully and well.

I must say my favorite part is the ending -- you wrapped it up nicely with a touch of hope for healing. It does the spirit well to hear a happy note after such a heart-wrenching dirge ...

Well done, new friend -- you are in good company here.

--Kess

Full fathom five thy father lies,
Of his bones are coral made,
Those are pearls that were his eyes;
Nothing of him that doth fade
But doth suffer a sea-change
Into something rich and strange...

Thank you all for such a kind welcome... I was kind of hesitant to print anything up here...LOL, wasn't sure whether I'd get booed down or not!

Thank you for making me feel welcome!

Jason~
Gosh, I like this so much.

Threw the key into
"Gone-for-good"

Very descriptive ...
you seem to have turned a corner with
'It’s never really been,
   All about you.'

Welcome to Passion's.
No 'boo' ... just welcome!
