          Never the Last

Head tilts slightly to the left
right stream hugs a nostril's flair
moistened lips from mourning's dew
salty kisses find a home
one drop flirts with Newton's Law
fat words scribbled through the blur
fun house prism now set free
lightly tracing down the cheek
flow is quickened
or is slowed
as this trace is linked in dream
to the softest caring touch
from a treasured finger's tip.
