I will find you you cannot hide I'll take you along for the ride You are simply a pawn in my master plan Your life will never be the same again I can find you in the darkest of places I can turn cold even the warmest embraces You cannot hide from the terror I bring Get on your mark I'm ready to spring I'm not always sent from somewhere above If you haven't yet guessed my name is HEARTBREAK [This message has been edited by Jeffrey Carter (edited 04-12-2000).] |

Altough I like to think of love as warm and beautiful, I like what you've done with your poem~ Marie~ |

I understand where you come from with this piece but I have to disagree with the sentiment. Love is always sweet, may be bittersweet but always sweet. To truely love is to truely know peace even in the hard times. Love is patient and kind, unselfish and slow to anger. If it is not so, I do not believe it is truely love. JMHO |

Hmmm... very nice poem. I have to agree mariee, I like to think of love in a better light AT THIS TIME. But there have certainly been times in the past when I have written this poem and twenty more just like it when I was on the rebound. I know how you feel... "The storm rises up when the shadows descend every beat of my heart every day without end I will stand like a rock I will bend till I break till theres no more to give if thats what it takes I will risk everything I will fight I will bleed I will lay down my life if thats what you need every second I live thats the promise I make" I have no idea who wrote this... tell me if you know. =) |

You guys were right. Thanks for pointing that out. Still a little weary over my last heartbreak. Jeffrey |

It is true, there are very few who have known love without knowing heartbreak. I think, myself, that every life has it, at one time or another, or, unfortunately, at many times. ~ ~ ~ You have written a powerful, moving, and poignant poem here! Excellent! One which will remain with me for a long time to come! |

they break because they are so fragile, like fine glass, which by the way is refined through fire. This poem made me think of fine glass, and the fire that tests the strength of it, and any of our hearts. Thank you! Kathleen |
