T~R~U~E L~O~V~E Tenderness that never ends Revealing souls that lie within Unto each a promise made Eyes of love that never fade Love given without reserve Onto an oath to preserve Virtue and trust forever sealed Emotion of heart there revealed ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ < !signature--> A life isn't significant except for its impact on other lives. *SIGH* (smile) your a romantic poet... and now ... we all know it... very nice danny-boy... it is hard to do these with rhyme and to make them have real emotion as opposed to just words in line formation... you made it look easy sir ... way to go blue eyes LOL on the "BEG" take care, jm Well the sun sets gently on your shoulders And it makes me want to touch you there. And the light in your eyes makes me feel Like there's something much better out there Something kind... And I know someday I might be looking around Trying to find some purpose Well purpose it can't be that hard to find As long as I've got the wind... The wind and your love to carry me. vertical horizon |

*SIGH* I'll have to agree with JM on this one, you make it look so easy...what an absolutely lovely poem. Short and tenderly sweet. May I never be too busy to help another's load, Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed. --Author Unknown |

Danny* Wow!! This is wonderful...refreshing...amazing, your talent continues to speak to my heart and you words fall like leaves on a blustery fall day, with a rainbow of colors and a mixture of feelings. Thank you for sharing this gift that consumes you. Hold me for yesterday Kiss me for tomorrow But love me for today. |

Danny, you make it sound so easy! True love and all....(sigh) Tell me oh wise one, how does one get over the fear of "being burned"...? I know I've stared true love in the eyes before, but I was so darn scared of "letting go", I turned and ran! Love to me, is a setup for a MAJOR fall......I see all you people in love, and I wonder, how the hell do they do it? How can they be so lucky to find someone who doesn't hurt them with words...? This lovely piece certainly brings back fond memories...thank you. Darn good job you did here! |

A note of "Thanks" to all who replied to this poem. I am surprised and pleased that so many responded with such kind words. A word of acknowledgment to Denise (dsnyder) for her helpful comments. Truly a sweet lady. < !signature--> A life isn't significant except for its impact on other lives. [This message has been edited by Danny Holloway (edited 04-12-2000).] |
