(Pardon the brief simple nature of this one, but it was actually a challange to write a poem in less than 5 minutes from thought to completion)

Don’t Wake Me

Hush don’t wake me
I am dreaming
While through the window
Daylight’s streaming

Shhh...don’t wake me
I am sleeping
Into my thoughts now
You are creeping

Please don’t wake me
Just one more minute
Lost in my dream
And you are in it

Hoot,
     mind if I dream with you?

Beautiful poem, my friend. . .

Short to the point and packed with feeling....these are always the best, and you did it with the style that only you have.  I loved it.

 Hold me for yesterday
Kiss me for tomorrow
But love me for today.

I love it, Ruth!

 It matters not how strait the gate;
How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

Ruth,

Is this one of those reoccurring dreams..? I know somebody not to far from here who's suffering from the same scenario. Maybe ya'alls connected..? She says it always begins early in the morning somewheres 'bout time da kids wake. Thank God I'm in a dream of some kind but I sure hope I'm not awake yet.

I know that feeling... You just mellow out - dream the dream of your choice... and DON'T fully awake until you choose...

I like it...
