My sword for my king
     My body for my people
          My heart for my love
These things I pledge
     To the God in Heaven
          Who reigns from above

My sword for my king
     Keeper of the faith
          Defender of the crown
To protect his life
     Keeping him safe
          From enemies all around

My body for my people
     Keepers of the flame
          Defenders of the land
To protect their way of life
     Keeping their homes safe
From the effects of time's sands

My heart for my love
     Keeper of my soul
          Defender of my life
To protect her life forever
     Keeping her close to me
Putting an end to my strife

This reminds me of a benediction, something to be recited to oneself...I like the feel to it.  Kind of an old world feel.

Velly velly nice!

May I never be too busy to help another's load,
Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed.

I'd love to journey through days of olde with one such as you Sven.  Beautifully portrayed

I'm with PdV here...I can see your "knightly" side showing a bit!  Very well done, and completely sincere no doubt.  You have such a big heart....so glad you share it with us here.  Love ya man!

Sven,
Love the layout on this one.  You seem to outdo yourself all the time.  This is wonderful.  I really like the knight theme.  She who holds your heart and soul is very fortunate indeed.
Excellent...
