Always keeping their distance Never taking the time to talk I used to think there was something wrong Not once did I ever suspect Why wouldn't anyone befriend me What reason had they When would I know No one ever told me Then there was you Picked me up out of loneliness Showed what love was What a friend was Fragrance of a rose Beauty of twilight Affection of a kitten Our love flurished Whispers in the wind Melodies of the heart Crashing of waves Memories that keep us strong Teaching me that there is more to life Silence, not knowing what to say Closeness, there is nothing more beautiful People fear what they cannot understand You are a dragon Power beyond comprehension Charm that melts any wall Fire that cause things to get crispy(had to include that one) And with that she left my life Left me understanding love My sweet little angel If only she would be my wife Just thought I would write this one. I tried some different things in this one. I am experimenting to see what ways I like to write. ![]() If dying is the process of living life to its end. Then what is living? Since you are trying different things how about titleing this poem as "poetry experimentation" or "experiments in poetry". Just a suggestion. James |

I like your poem. I probably would call it "Awakening Dragon"....or "Dragon's Awakening"... |

Scorched Dragon- I would call it 'Fragrance Of A Rose' for though she may be gone ... her fragrance lingers. Nice job. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

jmlee12345- I appreciate the suggestion. Poet deVine- You always seem to have the ability to come up with something good when I could only come up with nothing. Marge- I love that title but I have an idea for a poem that that title will fit much better. Thanks for the suggestion. Breathe- I am glad you liked the poem and please refer to my response to Marge. I thank you all for your comments and suggestions. They have all helped me. ![]() If dying is the process of living life to its end. Then what is living? |

Interesting!!! Nice!! Seems to be a common thread in your poetry!! "Creation of woman from the rib of Man: She was not made from his head to top him; nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him; but out of his side |
