~Little Miracles~

Sitting in a sunbeam on the cool kitchen floor,
watching the sunset thru the open back door.
Soft breezes come in thru the tattered screen,
God's artistry paints the sky in a violet washed scene.
The stereo jams ... my body takes in the deep base,
the sunlight warms and tans my tear streaked face.
Within this fragile moment ... I discover the place, you exist in me.
The gift of this miracle ... for once, I am content to simply ... just be.
If I hold my breath ... can I make time mercifully stand still ...
Should I never move ... can I stop the arrival of until...

Janet Marie

*for my partner in rhyme
thank you for the inspiration, always.

 The stars shine so bright, now's the time
I close my eyes - soft wind touch my face,
Cool sand upon the place where I once kissed you
And held you close.
Now I will reach for the stars...
Because Oh my love, that's where you are...
Though the storms of black night rage on
I still see your face
I still feel your lips on mine
And though my heart feels all alone without you
I still hear you sing to me
I still hear your voice on the sea...

JM,
This is a real piece of work. Truly inspirational. I was moved by it. Thank you for sharing.

-Janet

This was so beautiful and peaceful! It brought a tear to my eye. I think we rush around in life so much that sometimes we lose sight of the "little miracles". Thanks so much for the reminder. As always I stand in awe of you and your wonderul work.

Love ya,
AMY

Janet, this is wonderful... it's always important to take time out for the "Little Miracles" of life. . . thanks for the reminder. . .

JanetMarie~
In this moment
one miracle appears

'can I stop the arrival of until'

Tender moment shared.

This is beautiful, JM,  I know this moment, and it is exquisite!  (But don't forget to breathe...lol, that AIR THING is absolutely vital!)  Admiration here, once again...(hope applause doesn't bore you...)

Hmmm... I read your peom this morning on another message board and I liked it a lot... but I'm just now making the connection that for the first time in a year or so I'm sitting in the house with all the windows open letting a cool breeze blow through.  Hmm... subconcious mind must have liked it too... anyways.

Cool poem.< !signature-->

but if there's nothing there to make things change,
if it's the same to you I'll just hang."

Flowing on the lighter side and so gracefully...I loved this...I think I felt the breeze as I read....right to my heart.

Those moments are precious, aren't they? Yep, we can stop 'until' anytime we want to!
Beautiful poem, Janet Marie!

Oh, this is so poignant!  I wasn't surprised to find a few tears trailing down my face as I read.  The anticipation is wonderful isn't it?  Treasure these moments always!

 It matters not how strait the gate;
How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
