Kissed By An Angel |

Profits have spoken through lightening fast years of all that's to come, predicting our fears. Babies lie broken in ruins of hate. Kissed by an angel, cursed by their fate. Pain, ever-raging from snow cap to sea. God embraces the children set suddenly free. There's no place called hope where innocence dies, where childhood wanders down streets paved with lies. The froces of love now slaughtered and crushed are kissed by an angel, beytraying their trust. |

WOW, Maybe Im reading this wrong? and maybe not? But being one that`s fighting a monkey. I read a story here that is something that I have dealt with for many years... Please forgive me if Im wrong. But to me, this read`s like an addiction to a substance and the effect`s it has on a child?? Please correct me if Im wrong. Anyway, this has read in a way that I wont forget...Thank you Christie Today is the first day of the rest of my life. |

Thank you for the feedback. Your interpretation, Wizard, makes a lot of sense when I read back. It is not exactly what prompted the poem. I wrote this at the time of the Ok.City bombing. However, after writing it, it reflects the issue that drives most of my poems, being the survivor of severe abuse. The long term potential effects of abuse and addiction issues are often intertwined...so it makes sense. Thanks |

This is a very poignant and haunting poem. Welcome to Passions! What a heartfelt and sorrowful work! I'll be watching for your name! ...Living is ever like crossing rivers; finding a new life on each shore ... RJG |

Very good, if only more people could express and care for our children as so. keep it up, you are a shiny beacon of light in an otherwise dark and crowded harbor. Here's to the future of our Earth. Thanks Chris. |
