Love is a River by miss abagail mannering Love is a river ever changing as it flows.. and occasionally disembarks from the path it once chose. It bubbles and churns, runs shallow and deep... and some dry up in the raging stillness of heat. The currents move differently through channels and pools... and in the right dosage refreshes and cools. Love, unlike water, can't be bottled or sold. It comes from the heart, and is NEVER cold. ***This was written 2/9/2000 during my abnormal psych class.. co-inkydink? I wrote it for Rick for V-day...(a was also REALLY thirsty when I wrote it) (I can't remember if i posted this one or not, sorry if it's a re-peat) "Some people aren't worth a puddle of ant pee in the middle of a dessert when it's 100 degrees in the shade." -me |

Love is a river ever changing as it flows.. and occasionally disembarks from the path it once chose. This first stanza was amazing, as was the rest of the poem...however that first stanza...awesome! great job. amy ![]() ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ |

I agree with Aimster the first stanza has such power. Great Poem! The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, not the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when he discovers that someone believes in him and is willing to trust him with his friendship." --Ralph Waldo Emerson |
