Asking the wind so long ago, All the answers that I should know, Trapped inside, nowhere to go, Just becuase I loved you so. Somewhere beyond, where we stand, Hearts secure, hand in hand, Stars aligned inside the soul, Overwhelmed, to much to know. Falling free into your grace, Your love such an awkward place, Still lost in you without a trace, My insecurities, now erased. Kiss me soft, here and now, As if not to wonder how, Thoses vacant tears have washed away, Everything I ment to say. The crystal promises in your eyes, The beauty in your hearts diguise, Break down my souls last defense, Satisfied with sheer rememberance. Only after trying so hard to let go, did i realize how much i wanted to hold you forever> Amber and Ellis forever and always |

What a tender, loving, haunting poem. I know you to be the queen of haunting verses, but this one has a note of hope, and I love that. You are an excellent poet, and my husband and I both love your work. How do you get the meaning and rhyme to flow together so well? When I try to get my meaning to rhyme, it loses its meaning and intensity. When I try to get my rhyme to have meaning and intensity, it melts into mediocrity. I guess I just don't have that gift. Yet... for I will never give up trying !!!! Bravo for you, my friend! |

Must agree with Rosemary. Such nice work with the rhyme. "Stars aligned inside the soul". what great expression. All so well done. A life isn't significant except for its impact on other lives. |

Amber~ It makes me happy to see the joy in this poem. I enjoyed your thoughts. 'Satisfied with sheer rememberance.' Lovely, lovely line. (I recognized Sis's ink .. she was so enthusiastic ! ) ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
