                  The path

It depends on the person, time and place
It counts on the state, perplexed or graced.
It is what I'd call a personal thing.
A soul with a goal in winter or spring.

As long as it lasts, the magic is cast,
Always the future but stems form the past.
It circles an aura about each soul,
Sending its message and finding its goal.

It comes in the day and often at night.
Whenever it comes, it's brightest of bright.
It colors the mind and it warms the heart,
Welds you together or tears you apart.

It's the greatest feeling one can declare.
Weather heart felt love or complete despair.
It's the essence of our being within.
Emotional truth, be it good or sin.

A door to be opened, our human core.
The path and the entry, to evermore.

Seymour~
So very, very good to see your
smiling face.

And the bread crumbs scattered
along the path .. leads us home.

This is a really thoughtful piece
of writing.
Glad that our paths have crossed.

you made it feel like time was standing still...and I felt fascination...
then you turned and smiled in my direction...
and my heart...gave me away.

"Always the future but stems form the past."
Great line Sy.  The path for all is different but I think the destination is shared.  May all our paths join in the end.  Wonderful poem.

Wonderfully crafted to encourage thought.
Well done.

Ah...but we all have to choose our own paths.

Speaking of paths, America agrees with my favorite poem...the favorite poem for this year is The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost...gotta love it
