Full Of Their Words

Words,
ripe for the picking,
fall in strokes
from their pens
and the writers
reap the bounteous harvest
ingesting lines
until they are contented.

There are only two ages of people...living and dead and you all look about the right age to me :)

take care, jm

...when you walked into the room, I saw their faces,
you made it feel like time was standing still...and I felt fascination...
then you turned and smiled in my direction...
and my heart...gave me away.

Ruth,

Out of the overflow of the heart....the mouth (pen) speaks.  Consequently, I read very carefully what people write. I am glad you have found what you were looking for.

Ruth,
I must totally agree with you.  Words and poetry are to be savored like the greatest delicacy for the soul.  And you have fed my hunger well, my friend.

I love how you can manage to say so much in such brevity. Very good!

Ruth, but are we ever contented. Sometimes I think ous poets are glutenous. We feast and feast and feast and never get enough. Taking big bites, chewing, chomping, just stuffing our faces..........
In the words of Lazerous Long, a ficticious character of Robert Hienlin,
"To enjoy the flavour of life take big bites, moderation is for monks"

I have often been told I am full of it...
but that is another matter...  wonderful poem as always. It can be a wee bit addictive, can it not? *smile*

M-mmm ...
for a minute there
I could smell peaches and
strawberries - was I lying in a bed
of them, or ... no, it was the scent of that
delectable victory I was reliving; of the times
when I am able to lay my thoughts out in
those tasty morsels called words, the
exact way I had truly wanted
to ... yum!

Nice imagery indeed!
