Lucky~ As an avid admirer and collector of Scrimshaw ... I can tell you that the title of this one caught my eye right away. Like the beauty of the pieces I hold .. this 'intricate' carving of you holds me spellbound. I believe that this is very near and dear to your heart .. and therefore it is to mine. I can see the wonderful symbolism - your words " these small pieces of carved poetry have come to symbolize life once left behind" are so true! Each poem tells a story of one kind or another, about one part of life or another, until our minds are lined with carved shelves, holding each carved memory.
