You walk away so easily It's so hard to watch you go You say "I love you" so breezily That my heart will never know Was it love, was it more than I deserved Is it guilt from years gone by A friendship so worn and reserved Steadfast you stood and watched me cry Then walked away so easily Leaving me to find my own Saying "I love you" so breezily A lost love I had never known Is it love, is it more than I deserve Is it guilt from years gone by A friendship so worn and reserved Breaking you stood and watched me cry Still you walk away so easily Me, I can hardly say goodbye You say "I love you" so breezily Is this the day your love again will die Is it the difference between you and me Is it in the way that we give Am I to you what you are to me Or is it just the way it is Work like money doesn't matter, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching... |

~HM3~ i could really "feel" this poem! i know what it feels like to have someone say " i love you" and they act like they are talking about the weather or something. the word LOVE is very powerful and should be used with caution. love is different to everyone but should never be said with haste or such lightness. beautiful work you have here, excellent job. i look forward to reading some more of your work. take care AMY S M I L E!   ~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~ |
