Why the Gods are against us
I’ll never know
But there is a power far greater
Than any kind of control
And it decides to let it show
As the starlight in your eyes

To usurp the authority of nature’s law
That is the key
To a struggling, fragile thing
Just yearning to be
In different phases, you and me
As the starlight in your eyes

Such a contrast between light and dark
The only dream
Of which passes for reality
In time or so it seems
I felt like such a distant dream
As the starlight in your eyes

Why is it that fate conspired to bring
To us tonight
A certain feeling of timelessness
Of magnified sight
And a gleam of unquenchable light
As the starlight in your eyes
