Allow me
to watch
shadows dance
in silhouette of fire.
Allow my fingers--
trembling tips--
butterflies
that kiss desire.

Deny me not
my ache for you.
Permit me, please,
my need to savour...
Let it be sweet,
in pure relief,
releasing dam
of God's Good Favor.

Be gentle as I take my time,
ponder possibility of rhyme...
A thousand years,
a million tears,
I've waited for your voice, sublime...

How startling, it is to see
all I've believed that could not be
standing right in front of me
in ashes of myself despised...
So simple.  And I am so surprised.

she said I dont know if I've ever been good enough,
and I'm a little bit rusty, and I feel like my head is caving in.
...and I dont know if I've ever been really loved by a hand thats touched me...
and I feel like somethings gonna give...
and I'm a little bit angry.

Serenity,

This is OUTSTANDING! I hope your inspiration survived (just kidding). Very well written.  I can feel the fire....  Oh, my...I think I need a smoke.

gemini

I want to be the face you see when you close your eyes
I want to be the touch you need every single night
I want to be your fantasy
And be your reality
And everything between
I want you to need me,
like I need you.

Janet Marie, my new buddy-thanks, as always
your support means much to me.

INclan--thank you.  Oh, and smoking is really
bad for you!  (Serenity types in a
cloud of smoke as she exhales...)

Rex Allen--sorry, I guess I did go on and on
           and on...)  Thanks to you!

gemini shadow--thank you, am looking forward
to seeing your work in the future.

Denise--words cannot express my gratitude...

Marge--what a coincidence!  I enjoyed the
       feelings too!

Much gratitude to all, now I'm off, in search of ahem--INSPIRATION...
