I Cry I cry for the children Who survive on the streets Unwanted and alone Will they ever have a home? I cry for the old man Who sits alone in the park Day after day, drink after drink Waiting, just waiting, for it all to end I cry for the rivers How mighty they once flowed Choked now by pollution, unable to breathe Drowning slowly in our waste I cry for mother earth Once so revered and majestic Now covered with scars, they call it progress But I have to ask, will mankind survive? I cry for all creatures Those great and small, unique and fragile So many are lost forever, day after day Yet we show them no care I cry for the baby As it gasps its first air Such hope and such wonder Is there a future, or just our despair |

Dear Eagle* This is beautiful, written from the heart of a man who cares...there is nothing more awesome than that...these are my favorites...but it all went together very well... I cry for the children Who survive on the streets Unwanted and alone Will they ever have a home? I cry for the old man Who sits alone in the park Day after day, drink after drink Waiting, just waiting, for it all to end I cry for the baby As it gasps its first air Such hope and such wonder Is there a future, or just our despair Makes you wonder what we are leaving for our children doesn't it..... **AW hugs and BF kisses** |

I cry for the children Innocent victims Shot down in the streets In senselss rage I cry for the mothers Who weep openly At the loss of a child And a piece of their heart I cry the fathers That go off to war To fight for you and I And never return I cry for the widows They leave behind Who pray for an end Of all this killing I cry for those Killed behind the wheel Because one person Didn't know when to say when I cry for the families They leave behind Whos lives were changed At the hands of a drunk driver I cry for us all And the state of this world And only hope That we will see tomorrow |

Hey this poem is the sad reality of everyday life,,,if people just realized that, maybe things would be different..maybe the old man who sits in the park alone will have someone to talk to today..who knows....maybe instead of just feeling bad, you guys should get up and so something about it..guarantee you it feels alot better.... How true the words you write. I too cry with the others. Human compassion is still out there. It too cries to be found again. |

EagleOne....it is sad to see what kind of future and planet will be here for our children. This was an excellent piece!! Very thought provoking. Friends are friend forever if the Lord's the Lord of them and a friend will not say never cause the welcome will not end. --Michael W. Smith |
