In the space between moments

The mellow silence bathes
Over fragile tearstains
Now etched upon my dreams
Poignant sorrow possesses
Trembling soul-shadows
As lonely tears float
Within my wandering eyes
Iced melodies cling
To gently cradled memories
Of what used to be
But perhaps never was...
I search the tranquil wisdom
Of the flowing moon-winds
Yearning for gentle comfort
Yet finding only
A momentary touch of peace
Before the words once more
Roam rivers of forever...
Sadness flutters again
Filling my openings of soul
With dew touched thoughts
Of breathless need
And slowly drifting loneliness.

And I continue to search
For gentle comfort once possessed
But perhaps never regained.

this poem is full of "tranquil wisdom and gentle comfort"
you express your emotions with such beauty and grace...VERY lovely work.

Do you live for the present, the future the past...

What a great poem Krista.  We always search for a little happiness and comfort.. and sometimes it's so hard to find.
I liked the line: "Roam rivers of forever...", very cool.

A poem with a lot of feeling, beautiful imagery, and a certain gentleness. This is just lovely.

Krista, abstractions, especially feelings can be difficult to express...your writing here "feels" as though these words just poured forth with ease. Very, very nice.
