The mellow silence bathes Over fragile tearstains Now etched upon my dreams Poignant sorrow possesses Trembling soul-shadows As lonely tears float Within my wandering eyes Iced melodies cling To gently cradled memories Of what used to be But perhaps never was... I search the tranquil wisdom Of the flowing moon-winds Yearning for gentle comfort Yet finding only A momentary touch of peace Before the words once more Roam rivers of forever... Sadness flutters again Filling my openings of soul With dew touched thoughts Of breathless need And slowly drifting loneliness. And I continue to search For gentle comfort once possessed But perhaps never regained. *Krista Knutson* ~*Only when trudging through the soul's darkest midnight can one truly appreciate the glory of the sunrise*~ |

--------------- this poem is full of "tranquil wisdom and gentle comfort" you express your emotions with such beauty and grace...VERY lovely work. take care,jm Do you live by the book, do you play by the rules Do you care what is thought by others about you If this day is all that is promised to you Do you live for the present, the future the past... tracy chapman |

What a great poem Krista. We always search for a little happiness and comfort.. and sometimes it's so hard to find. I liked the line: "Roam rivers of forever...", very cool. Abrahm Simons Put one foot on the path of life and tread the dagger's path betwixt dark and light. |

Krista, abstractions, especially feelings can be difficult to express...your writing here "feels" as though these words just poured forth with ease. Very, very nice. ~ Claire |
