Do you know the time of night,
...just before the dawn?
When parents sleep and children dream,
...of fairies on the lawn?
When night and day are one the same,
...and dreams come ever true?
Then take my hand and fly with me,
...up to the heavens blue,
Amongst the stars and comets bright,
...unto the land of Dream,
Where hate and fear are unknown words,
...and love is all supreme,
Where pain and drugs are make believe,
...and unicorns are real,
Where happiness and tenderness,
...are all you ever feel,
Where floods and storms just don't exist,
...and clouds are sweet whipped cream,
Will you take your hand in mine,
...and fly to land of Dream?

I always get the same feelings when I read your Poems, acute admiration followed by severe bouts of jealousy.

Thanks for the chance to read and reply

Yes, I admit your general rule. That every poet is a fool:
But I myself may serve to show it. That every fool is not a poet.

In the land within your dreams
I reach out for your hand
And safe within the dark of night
We'll fly to distant lands
We'll sail beyond this mortal world
To where suns always shine
Leaving all our cares behind
With your hand there in mine
In the confines of your dreams
My friend, just you and I
Will drift through time and space alone
Till daylight fills the sky

Nice poem Mike...inspiring

This seems to have been written by a child at heart, and if a child could write as beautifully as this, imagine all the wonderful, wonderful poetry we would have, just as this one. A magical place decribed by Mike's pen is a truly amazing world.

Mike~

Soft on wings of faerie
I flit through dreams so merry
On clouds puffed with whip of cream
I'll place a bright red cherry
Then with spoon of moon
we'll feast on such delight
In the land of endless dream
on this lovely night

Wonderfully light and inspiring, thanks Mike.

This is really nice...your poetry has a way of soothing me when I'm frayed and frazzled.  LOL  Your words are beautiful and lulling...I once new a place like this, and I too, once flew.  Thanks for taking me back...

Oh, Mike, this is absolutely beautiful...I loved your poem and the Land of Dream sounds like it is the place to be...wish I could get there someday.

What I would do to make that fantasy world our reality now!  Maybe we all will!  Maybe, we all are ...

Beautiful poem, Mike ...
