Her sarcasm fell and slapped against
me like a cold lump of lard
and I remembered that her thumbs
were to short, like toes
and her hair was not naturally red
she just set out bear traps
not really much to say
about that
just see ya later
I don't need this

She just set out bear traps....that is one great line.. I've met that gal and those bear traps look so innocent 'til you stick your foot in. Great poem, sir.

I've seen those traps too, they really hurt.

see ya later
I don't need this

... how I wish I could have said that.  Nicely done.

The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition.

James....

Great poem you got here! This held some really powerful emotions, and you captured it so well on paper!

Balladeer- I'm suprised that ya liked it, at least it had one good line

Enola-sometimes you just have to kick them to the curd (and is your name derived from the a bomb dropper)

Hootie rn-I just don't understand, I did not have any idea what I was writing until it was done

Denise- thanks and that's damn straight

Nan- well not all of us get to the beauty parlor every day

Amy- thanks, and here I thought it was just silly
