Iris a symbol of our love with a dozen golden rose buds and foliage evergreen which melted this heart liquefied to sweet honey nectar Iris purplish and of precious yellow soft-rich, smooth and mellow from stem we grew leaf by leaf to flower together developing our Iris velvety, sleek and showy, free from projections our everlasting flower will like all things, end up dead. What comes from the heart goes to the heart. Samuel Coleridge |

The iris is one of my favorite flowers.. unfortunately, flowers do have short-lived days.... ...and yet even the demise of the iris produces seeds for new blossoms, does it not?? |

Iris a symbol of our love with a dozen golden rose buds and foliage evergreen which melted this heart liquefied to sweet honey nectar Iris purplish and of precious yellow soft-rich, smooth and mellow from stem we grew leaf by leaf to flower together developing our Iris ------------ such excellent imagery in this...very well written...loved the comparison of love to the flower. very good work, take care, jm Do you live by the book, do you play by the rules Do you care what is thought by others about you If this day is all that is promised to you Do you live for the present, the future the past... tracy chapman |

Lovely sentiment displayed in this piece. Although this is not my favorite type of poetry, I number this poem one of my favorites. Remember, it's not how long love blooms, it's how well. |

Girl you have one better than an Iris! A love that is already in full bloom and won't fade away... Hugs to ya girl! Take what you have and fly Look at your blessings Don't let one person Bring you down and steal the vigor For you have life and love And that is most precious One who don't want to share that Is not worth your effort or time! So do what you can With what you have Where you are And savor every moment! Love ya! Hugs |
