I Wished Upon A Falling Star I wished upon a falling star And it fell right on my head I stumbled to the bathroom door But it was the garden shed I fiercely fought the Kracken beasts Entangled in their den Fangs and claws and skinny necks I thrashed and kicked them dead I stumbled out and ran for life How'd they get in my shed? Down the street, for haven sought And hid behind yon garden rocks I must have warped through time itself For I heard a maiden call, Hark, who hides in frigging rocks You've crushed my treasured holly hocks With mustard of the bravest knight I staggered through yon goldfish moot And fell upon your wooden boat, I must have scared your furry bunny boots, Cause they tried to kick me in the snoot. I woke up in the strangest place, Soft and frill with maiden's lace, Which held me tight, from neck to waist An ancient courting rite, I think I like. You dabbed and cleaned my tender wounds Wiped my head of dragon's goo Strange it smelled of diesel fuel, And your smile was for me I knew..... For days and days my fever ruled, You held my hand and kept me cool. When the madness was finally through The queen of my castle, became you. (I finally fixed the star on the roof, replace my smashed and broken rakes And locked the garden shed) James Parker Haley mar 29, 2000 [This message has been edited by Haleyja (edited 03-31-2000).] |

Lots of funny madness to read..I liked the humor here and a romantic ending gives this a nice touch..dare I wish on a falling star? James |

Parker, you've raked in another smile here...wonderful sense of fun in this garden escapade, and I loved this line, "soft and frill with maiden's lace" |
