JENNA "Cherish these moments" says most passer-bys How could I not when I look in her eyes From barely a handful to now 14 pounds Already outgrown all her cute hand-me-downs Her crying and colic are just reminders Of how much she needs me, and yes I am hers She now owns my heart and I'll always be there From spit-up to walking to cutting her hair I've got new respect for my parents thus far Calming my fear even killing monsters Nothing prepaired me for how I would feel Overflowing emotion beyond what was real God gave me a gift I could never deserve and I'll love her forever. It's a promise I'll serve |
