LIFE'S FANTASY Once upon a dry tired land There sat upon it a knarled old man He pondered deep his biggest regret About the woman he loved, but never had met Her hair was red like the fires of hell Her eyes were as dark as a deep cold well Her temper short, but her will very strong Taking control, caring 'bout no one All his life he had wondered what that life would have been Had he found her, and let her control him within Now this man had a wife who was nature's pure soul With hair of light brown and a heart of pure gold He never denied not a day of her love But cound never forget the fantasy from above She loved him undying even gave him a child And during that time his thought were really quite mild Now after lifetime of love and respect His wife has passed on and his daughter has left And here as his life draws close to an end He thinks of that lifestyle yet once again Did he ever appreciate all that he had? Or did he just wonder was more could be had |

Interesting story written here. A Fantasy unfulfilled, but maybe for the best. Nice writing. |
