I leave myself open Hoping love will come in A whisper, a touch is all I need for my love to begin My feelings grow deeper Led blindly by the thought alone That one day I will love someone Someone to call my own But in this crazy circumstance My eyes have failed to see The lonliness I have caused myself To think that anyone would love me |

Welcome!! A slice of pain is always easier when you release it. This is a subject I know well and your work captured it well. Whatever strength I add to myself becomes my greatest weakness, while whatever weakness I'll consciously endure will be replaced with a strength that is not my own. G. Finley |

Very good poem...keep looking, there is someone out there for everyone...but you first have to be happy with who YOU are! |

hi gin, and welcome...i love this poem...it is sadly beautiful... I leave myself open Hoping love will come in A whisper, a touch is all I need for my love to begin ---------- you express you pain with grace, take care,jm and you can say baby... baby can I hold you tonight maybe if told you the right words... at the right time, you'd be mine... baby can I hold you tonight... tracy chapman |

gingin--liked this much! Reminded me of an old Groucho Marx line--ouch, serenity betrays her age--"I wouldn't join any club that would have me as a member..." I understand, and believe me, there is Hope. (couldn't resist, says the imp!) Welcome to the forum! |

I know exactly how you feel. The poem speaks out to me in ways I could never express. Very well written\. |
