My life is full of edges, frayed,
important things misplaced.
(Offer love?)
I SLAP IT FROM YOUR HAND.
(sweet remorse)
the only thing i understand...
(Reject before rejection?)
i never really had a plan.
(I cannot seem to think that way.)
i simply do not understand.
(Game of craps? Covering bets?)
I have much to figure, yet.

But i AM in love with everyone--
I cherish every line of grace.
I love the smoke in this one's eyes,
brush tears from that one's face.
I love the way that she smiles sweetly--
the way he completes my thoughts completely.
I even love what's yet to see.
I love everyone but me.

Emotion flows so quickly here
for someone who's been chained to fear.

Remember this
with goodnight kiss--
I am a poem with more to say;
until my pen
is dry of ink,
I'm working on it every day.

Serenity,
You tie life, love, curiosity and writing all together in this one; and at the same time show that there's much more to be said. Great job.

This is beautiful, Serenity.  I love it.... it feels very "raw"... or like the "core".... does that make any sense?  I'm not exactly sure how to say it.... I'm sorry.  Anyway, it's a wonderful poem

 Fleeting World
"Thus shall ye think of all this fleeting world:
A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream;
A flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream."
-from the Diamond Sutra, translated by : A. F. Price -- found in Teachings of The Buddha, edited by Jack Kornfield
