Three workers on the high beam sat. The ground was ninety feet below. Twas noontime and they broke for lunch... Gunther, Guiseppe and Toe. Gunther opened his lunchpail first And said, with a loud HRRUMPPH! "Again she gives me sauerkraut and wurst. If she does it tomorrow, I'll jump!!!" Then Guiseppe opened his lunchpail up And said, "Spaghetti again!!!" If she packs for me the same tomorrow, I'll jump with you, my friend!" Then Toerag opened his school lunch box And said, "oh, me oh, my!! If I see Polish sausage again With my two friends I'll die!!!" Next day there they were again, The three friends on the ledge. Gunther looked and saw the wurst Then jumped right off the edge! Guiseppe looked.....spaghetti again! "Hey, Gunther, wait for me!" Then Toerag saw his Polish sausage So down they went, all three. The funeral was a huge affair For this sad tragedy The foreman saw poor Toerag's wife Sitting 'neath a tree. "I'm sorry, miss", he sadly said, "But we were unaware That there were problems which could lead To such a sad affair." Toe's wife looked up, teary-eyed, And said, "Well, thanks a bunch But there was no way to avoid it.. Toe packed his own lunch!!!" |
