In my dream I beheld thirteen doves Upon the ground, one larger than the rest And off to the side sat a lonely pair Both looking as if for their own nest It was a calm clear forgettable day A day like many before seen The doves went about their lives In a random group these thirteen And it would have been uneventful Had it not been for that strange lonesome pair Who walked ever so slowly into the group And at once, they all took to the air Moving with such grace straight toward Heaven What started out as an inconspicuous thirteen Now became the most beautiful sight in the sky As they flew together these, now fifteen |

I had the sense that there was something hidden within the lines but I am not very good at deciphering underlying meanings. I hope someone else can! If not, will you tell me? PLEASE?!! Denise |

I don't grasp your underlying meaning either. Though I do have thoughts, but probably way off. Please let us know! |

okay...this is my homework for the weekend...you are so deep you make my head hurt lol...i'll be back...but then you knew that stalking you and trying to read your mind, your jm Now for me some words come easy But I know that they don't mean that much Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch You never knew what I loved in you I don't know what you loved in me Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be jackson browne |

Hi JML, I don't know any other way to say this, but I love what come out of your thoughts, its kind of stange because I look at things like you do, but there are not many people that can just see something like those doves and not only enjoy the expierence but be able to pass it on to others so beautifully, Thank you so much. ok....like a bad rash...Im back... SO... ten readings and 6 tylenol later...all i have to say is your WAY too deep for me(smile) call me dense...call me stupid...I cant figure out your cryptic little plot here. maybe Im looking too hard...LOL...whats really getting to me is figuring out the significance of that one larger dove... anyway, i think the poems meaning has something to do with acceptance and inner faith...and maybe finding beauty in the things around us that we miss. WELL?????? give me a break...its been a LONG weekend stalking you stupidly... you jm and you can say baby... baby can I hold you tonight maybe if told you the right words... at the right time, you'd be mine... baby can I hold you tonight... tracy chapman |

Beats me, JML. I got as far as thinking the 13 doves could have been Jesus and the 12 disciples but that leaves the pair unaccounted for...thanks for making me think, anyway,. |

Thanks guys for reading and playing along, but i think i made it too hard to know the meaning, which is what i was aiming for...just not this mysterious. It is just a poem written right after the Columbine shooting. |
