Patience On sun bleached mornings like this, when our carefully arranged plans get wrinkled and tossed aside by fate’s flippant hand, I become hostile with patience, falling apart markedly as the unsettled day drags on. You temper my mood, expelling the anger with an explicit sigh, a method to release, skin merges with skin, beneath bones, tendons, claret, lies the bread of souls. You allow me to feast on yours and so I’ll never know famine. © 2000 CM Bailey |

Oh, boy! It doesn't get more beautiful than this. The last two lines are exquisite. Beautiful poem, Corinne. |

Corinne, this is so good, you are the Queen, hands down. You allow me to feast on yours and so I’ll never know famine. You sound kinda hungery here, anything I can cook up for you? Parker.... |

wonderfully penned, Corinne Patience Wears Thin With days of Winter not yet fully barred, I dream of shedding all the cold within; I struggle to keep patience warmly cloaked, while it prefers to bare its eager skin. © RAM 3/22/00 |
