LOVE STORY She glides, a stream in timeless flight, A thousand shades of liquid light, Of crystal gleam the eye abides, In sweet charades of dream, she glides. She sings, her voice a heaven sent By starry skies of wonderment. Of chance, of choice, the chorus rings Spirits arise, rejoice! - she sings. She stands, a stone amidst the fall Of hope, once lost, now found for all. Of promise flown from clinched-tight hands By hearts uncrossed, alone she stands. She cries, a mist of shadowed night. A soft white glow in the moonlight. A caprice kissed of wistful sighs An endless flow, by tryst, she cries. She mourns, a tear given to time. An ancient scroll, a wordless rhyme. Lost to a fear the soul adorns, Fate takes its toll, adhere! - she mourns. She hides, heart sore, a sealed treasure. Welled in springs of empty pleasure. Hope's to deplore, the ruse subsides On new found wings, once more, she glides. Michael Anderson [This message has been edited by Michael (edited 03-21-2000).] |

You've got this heart gliding to be sure...I think this is more of love and *healing* sweetheart...I shall have you "gliding" soon enough...on clouds of pure silver.... Open arms can be the most fragile in the world... |

Michael...I do have to say this is by far my favorite of any of your works to day. I love the phrase repeated at the end of each stanza, ending and starting with the same words....wonderful work ) |

devina, Glad to have you heart gliding. I will meet you in those silver clouds. R.G., I think when love is true in heart it's much easier to let go. Why hang on to something that's only gonna bring hurt when there might just be a true love waiting right before your eyes. Ruth, thanks... this one winded me. Can I bum one of those cigarettes? Ah heck, I forget I don't smoke....LOL Mistik, not to worry. I live in the dark, just poke my head out once in a while to see what it's like...LOL Thank you all for the kind replies. Michael |

Michael, Your positive side rocks as strong if not stronger than your dark side. It's wonderful to see you among the living again, may you forever more bask within the sea of light. |

Michael, my friend, such a heartbreakingly clear depiction of Lady Love...and of the cycle of love we all go through at one point or another. Wonderful job, as always. May I never be too busy to help another's load, Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed. --Author Unknown |

L.D., You speak my wishes to a T. Satiate, you caught the "exact" depiction I was trying to portray here. The cycle of love and the joys and pains she brings. If I've learned anything though, love is an entity all its own and if it lives within you, it will always find its way out no matter how hard you try to suppress it. Love is meant to be shared and for those who truly know it and feel it - the emotion commands them. serenity, ((Hugs)) back to you from both of us. Cypher & Rose Petal, I have not had the pleasure of reading either of your works as of yet - but let me say Welcome to Passions, and I'm glad you enjoyed this poem. Thank you all for the kind replies. Michael |

I can only hope to one day write as descriptively and lyrically as you have in this lovely poem, Michael. Elizabeth "He have his goodness now. God forbid I take it from him!" -The Crucible |
