The breaking of dawn, as I arise Wiping the sleep from my weary eyes I gaze out of my window to see the sun... Like the sun, you bring light into my life And chase the darkest clouds away... I step outside, into the day A breeze blows gently through my hair... I close my eyes and I think of you... Like the wind, you are the breath of fresh air That whispers softly in my ears... As I stroll along the sunlit way I hear birds twittering somewhere Cheerfully, in the distance... It reminds me of how my heart begins to flutter When you are on my mind... I come home at the end of the day And hear the silence all around me.. And it makes me think Of the peace that you bring me... A warm, serene feeling washes through me. I prepare for bed, and once again Gaze out of the window Into the stars above... And i'm reminded of the sparkle in your eyes That I see when you gaze upon me... Closing my eyes, as a wave of sleep washes over me I drift into undisturbed dreams. And I smile to myself as a final thought passes through my mind... It is the thought of you... And the feeling of absolute joy and love that you bring me. |
