Love…. quintessential quality of life. Without love life is mere existence. What is love? Easier to say what it isn’t- Love is NOT mere physical attraction, no Matter how strong. Love is not dependence, no matter how complete. Love is not respect, though it helps. Love is not common interests, though they are A tremendous additive. Love…. Love is that sense of well being when the Beloved is near. That desire to give, to spend, to be spent; in order To assure the happiness and wellbeing of the beloved. Love is the poignant ache in your heart when you gaze Upon the sleeping countenance of the object of your affections. Love is the incurable loss which you feel when either life, or death Removes that object from your life forever. All these things and a million more comprise that emotion of which so much has been written and so little known. Visit My Home Page http://www.geocities.com/montcogunslinger/HomePage.html |

It is all that you say and more. Very well written. Should be required reading for anyone who all too quickly utters those three little words. So Gunslinger, I like John Wayne, so put your pen to work. |

I think this is the most accurate description of love that there is! Great poem, Gunslinger! Denise |
