huddled on a branch of the frozen willow outside my window shudders one small sparrow left in winters clutches. God keeps His eye on him. courage of a lion, fierce determination it takes to survive in maine a winter that kills quicker than a mortal sin. under the bridge just built for so many million dollars wasted lives the remnant of todays vagabonds shivering through decembers snow and bleakness. a variety of disabilities banded in a union of innocent indifference unable to handle life in all its varied consequences. but there resides the rub it seems for we the living glorified in giving are unable to attend the needs of the most vulnerable and humblest. turn our backs upon the alcoholic and avoid the ones in schizophrenias grasp, cast blind indifference to those who hold a different dream if but in their weakness. Christ denied once again in the meak and weakest. |

How true, how sadly true. Excellent poem with some hard hitting points. "Whatsoever you do unto the least of these, you have done unto Me". We should all take His words to heart and then aim to live by them. Welcome to Passions, Diana! Denise |

Very interesting piece. Well written I feel. I have a brother that lives this life, a Vietnam casualty I'm afraid. Nice work. |
