I stare at the paper and think I cannot put anything into ink My pen refuses to write What filled it with such spite? No profound thoughts I scribe My imagination needs a bribe! Maybe reading an interesting book Or turn to the window and take a good look Nothing is coming to my empty mind My brain, it must be entwined! For no thoughts of inspiration come Nothing at all, I am going numb! I try to force my pen to write About a topic that is rather trite A story of a beautiful dove With no meter to speak of The rhyming done quite horrible And the structure is just frightful This poem is a terrible crock But at least I conquered my writer's block! |

very honest poem, although you suffer writers block, you still have managed to write a decent piece of work. Nice!! |
