A star shone, the truth was known The mist parted, a plain I beheld A bottomless well, an empty shell Somewhere in time I awakened In my hand once nothing, now a rose Upside down, I turn it right Through the seven seas I make my flight From the land of despair to who knows Still there is sadness as I wipe a tear But I know I will never fear Remembrance of melancholy days Before was one, now many ways Know not whence I go, only my wisdom grows Madmen play on words and we all dance to their song From hither to yon and beyond took oh so long To mountain top I strive, shout to the crowd: “I have arrived” |

I like it..MUCH... stalking you still, jm When you see through love's illusions, there lies the danger... And your perfect lover just looks like a perfect fool So you go running off in search of a perfect stranger While the loneliness seems to spring from your life Like a fountain from a pool. Nope janet. Still a high school poem. I might start putting the dates with them *L*. I really used to be embarrassed by them. I can see so much growth between now and then. Only 12-13 years, but still... |
