If I were but a captain, ...and you my Lorelei, I'd sail my ship upon the rocks, ...for in your arms to die, In the rolling, tossing tempest, ...you'd be the eye of calm, I'd lay my head upon your breast, ...to feel its soothing balm, As trade winds blow, to fill my sails, ...I'd feel as if been kissed, By beauteous goddess of the sea, ...she'd come from evening's mist, If I were but a captain, ...I'd sail the ocean blue, Seeking out my goddess fair, ...to sail away with you. |

Ah Mike...I love the sea If I were but a mermaid ...I'd swim the oceans deep I'd travel far to distant shores ...To gaurd you in my keep I'd splash along beside your boat ...And sing out from the sea The dolphins and the great blue whales ...Would swim along with me I'd watch you anchor up your ship ...I'd dance in waves of blue Then catch myself up in your net ...Just to be with you (Smiling...okay, I'm ready for the next one ) |

I love this, and can smell the salt air and feel it as it gets tossed over the bow and sprays mistily upon my face. And there is always somehting special about women and the sea. Thanks Mike! |

This has to be one of your best "fantasy" poems, Mike, and you've brought it about convincingly enough to make my gaze wander far to the sea. ~ Claire |

Capt. Mike~ Such lovely 'fantasy' at sea. Riding the waves of romantic notions. I like this. Check your nets ! ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
