Old father time, My friend and my foe, You harbor life’s secrets, Only things that you know. ~ You pass by me quickly, When times are so grand, But when I am waiting, You linger and stand. ~ You cannot be pushed, Nor grabbed and delayed, You pass at your pace, So steady and staid. ~ Impatience will slow you, Acceptance will speed, In the fullness of you, We get answers we need. |
