     I shape my body
Trying somehow to fit the puzzle
I know the picture is important
    Yet acceptance I strive for
   The imperfections I clearly see
When placed with others they go unnoticed
Wanting to please, wanting to belong
Feeling different, unimportant, and lost
There is a void, an empty space
     Only I can complete

Melanie, so many people worry so much over appearance unecessarily.  That is not where the answer lies at all and anyone who places their acceptance of you in that area isn't worth trying to appease to begin with.  You are right, only you can complete or fill that emptiness, but it won't be in a mirror you will see the beauty of the completeness...it will be on the inside.

I have to agree with Michael here Sweetie!  God can fill our voids though!  We have to be alright with ourselves first. We have to accept ourselves.  And to do that you have to look within!  We all have imperfections, but that's what makes us human!

Where there is love,
there is peace.
Where there is peace,
there is GOD.
Where there is GOD,
there is no need.

Echo,
It's so good to write your feelings on paper. I never met you but I see a beauty that you haven't recognized. Keep writing, dear. There are so many welcoming ears to listen.
