The Colors of March

Still in the grips of chilly misty haze
A frosty coat on fragile morning dews
The lacey white of winter's sugar glaze

The warming earth of March's windy days
A softening of step beneath my shoes
Still in the grips of chilly misty haze

Now change the tides of lingering winter days
As Mother Nature subtly subdues
The lacey white of winter's sugar glaze

In God's own time, the birth of bright bouquets
Beneath the earth lie springtime's hidden hues
Still in the grips of chilly misty haze

For love will come in cherry blossom days
And take away these frozen winter blues
The lacey white of winter's sugar glaze

My heart awaits the pastel painted maze
Of redbud pink and periwinkle blues
Still in the grips of chilly misty haze
The lacey white of winter's sugar glaze

"The lacey white of winter's sugar glaze"
Stunning!

A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire!

Sy,
There are lots of things I cannot do
Like writing poetry like you
I cannot ski or run the track
Coordinating skills I lack
The only indication I can give
I believe that I know how to live
Thank you for those sweet words

What an absolutely beautiful poem Liz!
I know that you're being humble but I think that you write just as good as Seymour. In fact, you two are like twins.

Elizabeth:  You should have these on a calendar...

HUGS

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.

That's a great idea, Rainbow! A calendar would be perfect for these!
