                Life

My life is full of unanswered questions
I seek the answers
But i'm scared of the truth

As children we play in our big back yards
unaware of the truths of this lonely world

Our parents shelter us from the heartaches and pain
And falsely lead us into believing a lie

Once we are let out of our protected worlds
and cast out upon the open
we see what lays ahead of us in life

We see the horrers of this cruel world first hand
And wonder what happened to sunday afternoons, playing in the sand box with big brother

We experience the tragic loss of loved ones
and the cruel reality that people aren't always who they seem to be

I sometimes wonder if i ever go back home,
Will my matchboxes and barbie dolls will be there waiting for me?

or, like everything else,
will they be gone to?

Well you Crazy Chick,
I enjoyed your poem,
although it made me feel
a little well sad, I guess.
Fortunately we are all who we
seem to be here, because here
all we can see is each others
        HEARTS!!!!

Unfortunantly, life goes by WAY too fast, thats the good thing about this forum, write it now and you will always have a place to come back and reread, and remember!

All that you wrote is so true.  Some parents keep there childrens life padded.  I can remember when I was 8 and my dog died.  My parents padded my life then.  Boy was I sad and upset when I got older and found out what had truly happen.  Anyway.... good work.

Crazy chick,

I liked your poem although it made me feel sad, Parents sugar coat things for a reason though , could you imagine telling some of the cruel things that happen to a child they dont have the wisdom and they cant deal with the harshness so although unfair I think sometings should be sugar coated for children
This is just my opinion anyhow

Thank you Whiskey !   i understand what your saying, and it is true,  but i think there are some things in life parents should talk to their kids about when they're at the right age.
Thank you!!

I really like your poem...I have a 4 yr old and it scares me how grown up he is sometimes..to much wisdom for his age..to much heartache for his lil heart..
