I just noticed today that my mother-in-law has registered here. I wanted to post this poem to welcome her to our midst. There are some lines here that plea for all of your welcomes. I know it is not necessary and that you will treat her as part of the family but these are the words that came to me. Oh...By the way...her Passions handle is Grandma Jo.

To Grandma Jo
I welcome you
To Passions place
Enjoy the view

Such talent flows
Within this place
So many friends
With out a face

To show your work
And add your grace
I'll watch for you
I won't disgrace

Mother-in-Law
Now that is you
Don't watch me as
I run askew

I terrorize
And run amuck
The people here
Think I'm a smuck

Seriously
You'll love this place
There's so much fun
And so much faith

Such friends abound
Much love around
No better place
Is to be found

To everyone
This is my plea
This Grandma Jo
Is dear to me

Please welcome her
So pleasently
With open hearts
She's family

I love you Jo.

Come and join us, Grandma Jo.
We can put on quite a show.
If you're as good as Marilyn
There is no doubt you'll fit right in.

She's spoke your name a time or two
To say she thinks the world of you
And, hey, that's good enough for me
Enjoy our home of poetry!!!

As soon as I see her I'm gonna pounce on her and hug her neck and, and, and....nah I will be very courteous to her and welcome her properly. She sounds like a great lady Marilyn. I promise I won't scare her off LOL
Really like the tribute you wrote. You seem to have a great love for her.

No smuck would write so lovingly of their mother-in-law.
She is truly a very special lady and I look forward to her poetry

Belle

I thought you LIKED Toerag's faced - I gotta sid with you, though - that family peekshure he passes around is downright sacreligious - lol.

As for you Jo, wherever you may be.  Welcome to the Forum.  If you are worried about being possibly too old for this crowd, you are likely not even close to the age of some of us.  So cut loose and have fun.  Post to your heart's delight, and don't think twice about taking light-hearted shots at Balladeer and Toerag (naturally, I am too saintly to earn jestful remarks *haughty self-serving sniff*).  Also, let me be the first to give you a...

*reproachful lecherous welcome hug*

We all look forward to reading your posts and gleaning wisdom from the lessons of your life.  You are among friends.

Marilyn,  I enjoyed your poem and I think it was wonderful how you introduced us to your Mom (in law).  That is class!
