Mirror Mirror on the wall
why do I look at you at all
only to turn in such disgust
oh mirror your not one to trust.

Mirror your a sorry state
to challenge me with thoughts ornate
who are you to show a face
whose mind can only see disgrace

mirror you must see it clear
that things aren’t what they may appear
So how about I keep my tears
and take bad luck for 7 years

If your as young as your image shows
         leave the mirror alone,
           instead look inside
            at the inner man,
             that's the one
            people want to see
and the one God looks at,
The ONE you want to please.

Kevin -

Before putting yourself down too much,
Think of others who haven't your touch.
The craft you ply with virtual pen,
Shows the beauty that resides within.

And if your mirror shows wounded pride,
For things you've done or might've tried,
Think again of all you have.
It could be worse.  You could be Toerag!

The last line was not meant to diminish the thought behind the other lines.  Nobody is perfect, so don't be too hard on yourself.  The good Lord knows, there will always be somebody ready to step up and take that job from you.

Mirror, mirror you rotten glass,
All LongJohn see's looks like his ass,
So think of this my dear friend Kevin,
Compared to him you're near perfection.

Seriously though, you are quite blessed,
With words and thoughts mature,
Very few can out do you,
Say THIS to your old mirror.

Kevin, You are a young man , never feel like you are unseen to you , I think you are beautiful so cherish yourself in your mirror and feel the light you exhale

Kevin... I agree with Paul on one thing. Look inside for that is where the true beauty lies. I like your poem.

"oh the beauty that you miss, when you fail to see the real beauty that lives inside me."

Very cleverly crafted poem, Kevin! From what I can see you possess both inner and outer beauty!

Great poem, Kevin... the mirror does show flaws... but the eyes of our friends reflect a truer picture of us. *S*

ROFL @ LJA and Toe... you characters! *G* (Compared to LJA, anyone is near perfection! LOL)

Kevin,

you are a clever poet, keep writing!

And, if it is any consolation, I think everyone finds the mirror to be riddled with imperfections!  Can't they make a mirror that's perfect for God's sake!  They can lose a satellite worth billions but they can't make a mirror that makes us look great!

I need to get a life, huh?

Corinne
