Wanting For Nothing More

~~~Inspired by my two sons, from whom I gather all of my strength to carry on.~~~

"Mommy! Mommy!"
That's all it takes for me.
The chance to hold you once again,
Embracing endlessly.
You try so hard to stay awake,
To keep your eyes on mine.
But thumb and blanket win again,
you drift off one more time.
Holding you a few more minutes,
I admire my greatest work.
You laugh a little and sigh again-
I enjoy each dream-filled smirk.
What a privilege it is to be granted this blessing.
I never imagined before.
The love that abounds my life since you've entered...
Leaves me wanting for nothing more.

Thanks, you two! My writings as of late seemed to have taken on a solemn tone, so turned my focus to my reasons for being! I can think of no better inspiration and reason for celebration. Glad you enjoyed!

No better way to sooth the emptiness while my kids are away...than by bringing this to the front! Thanks J.B. SR and Devina. My world, summed up in two sweet little humans!
