Written by my Mother Hen: Suthern PINK RIBBONS I'm not the same woman I was last year. Pieces of the me I was are no longer here. But that's OK, for this way, I discovered depths of courage I never knew I had. The dreaded diagnosis changed my life completely But I've learned to appreciate just how very sweetly Breath is drawn at each new dawn. I've learned to cherish the joy, banish the sad, And experience the wonder of simply being alive. Don't talk to me of odds, for I know I'll survive! I'll wear my smile and share my style. I've not been diminished as a woman at all! I'm victor, not victim, no matter what you think, For I've stood up and stared down Death and made him blink And learned my way a bit each day. I'm a woman with pink ribbons, standing tall. Bless you..I read this so often and it gives me courage, makes me less scared makes me feel like I could still be someone...it's the only way I could think of to say thank you for being you, for loving me and caring about me in a way no one has done before...thanks Mum, sister and friend all rolled into one...and for all the love you show with "Pink Ribbons" Little chick HUSG< !signature--> Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn. As I'm writing this reply....I got out my pink ribbon and put it on, in honor of Rainbow...with this ribbon is hope and strength...... Suthern...with your permission, I would like to copy this and share it with my local chapter of the Breast Cancer Society.It is a piece that I'm sure will be of great comfort to the ladies that are survivors; like myself; and the girls who are going through this now.It touched me to my very core....Thank you..... Rainbow, honey, my heart and prayers are with you at this scary time......I have a strong feeling that no matter what the diagnosis is....you will remain strong; and a positive inspiration to all who are a part of your life....God be with you.....my heart is....and so is my love |

Bless you all...wish you could see my face because then you'd know why I can't say much... Bless, it is truly a wonderful poem and written with so much love and care and applies to so many, sadly!
