So beautiful...

I'm sitting here listening to SAVAGEGARDEN as they sing their song...
"I KNEW I LOVED YOU BEFORE I MET YOU"...
and it makes me sad that we've been so far apart for way to long.
The song makes me think about your gentle spirit
and your warm soft heart that goes with it,
which is making me want to see your smiling face
and experience your rich embrace.
Oh, how I'd Love to feel your smooth velvity skin,
and now I'm desiring to caress your body once again.
I find myself agreeing with Darren Hayes and Daniel Jones
as they express so well in this special song they are singing tonight,
I find myself listening closely as it seems they say it exactly right...
"I THINK I DREAMED YOU INTO MY LIFE"...
But wait a minute, this is all just a dream thats been enticing me,
its all a fantasy, a hope that dwells inside still waiting to be set free.
You know that I want to live in this very moment
yet that moment never seems to be here.
And when or where or how it will arrive
is far from approaching perfectly clear.
Why is it so hard for me to accept you as a friend?
I'm always thinking I want more of you
and hoping and praying that this marvelous journey will never end.
So I must confess I'm still desiring that first caress,
that first embrace and kiss and I'm also waiting to feel your tenderness.
Most of all I eagerly desire to look into your lovely eyes and see
the essence of your caring as your eyes reveal your inner beauty to me.

I myself have often listened to that song, and felt so much from it about my own relationship.Nicely written.

Nice poem, songs can sometimes say what we want to so perfectly.  I love Savage Garden, their music is enspiring, and you captured that well by reaching into it with your heart and finding what you felt towards someone.

I appreciate your comments and I share your appreciation of poetry and music   I was sortof thinking about buying a Savagegarden CD and Mich recommended the one "Affirmation with the song "I Knew I Loved You" so I went to the Borders music store and listened to it for a few and I loved that song...so I bought the CD.   Now every time I listen to it I think about Mich so this was originally an email that I sent to Mich.   James

Don't ask me where I'm going, just listen when I'm gone and far away you'll hear me singing softly to the dawn.

Thank you Betty for reading and your nice comments.  My friend Mich is the one who encouraged me to listen to SAVAGEGARDEN and also Celine Dion who has some wonderful and romantic songs.  She recently brought one of her songs to my attention titled "That's The Way It Is".  In part she sings "When life is empty..with no tomorrow..and loneliness starts to call..baby don't worry..forget your sorrow..cause love's gonna conquer all."  These are words of inspirations to me.  I believe that Love is just around the corner for each one of us and someday we will find it.     James

Hi Mary,   Thank you for reading and for the nice comment about my poem.   Yes I have to agree that you are missing some romantic moments if you don't listen to SAVAGEGARDEN.
I remember your poem confused and I hope life is treating you better now...and I hope mutual attractions will be in your future.  I see you like the same icon that I like.   Take care,  James
